Silver-plated metal, cast in imitation of filigree
Brief description
Silver-plated pierced clasp with added rosettes, Bavaria (Germany), 1800-1870.
Physical description
Two-part clasp of silver-plated metal cast to imitate filigree. Each part is decorated with three rosettes, rivetted to the base, and there is a larger matching rosette, with a small boss either side of it, over the hook. There is a flat hook on the back of one part, with a corresponding square loop on the end of the other.
