Brief description
Curved silver filigree top for a comb, Grodener and Eisack (Austria), 1800-1870.
Physical description
Decorative silver top for a hair comb. The ornament is made from a rectangle of open filigree slightly curved to fit the shape of the head. There are three empty oval cartouches applied to the front, and the filigree scrolls are decorated with applied granules. The filigree is enclosed in a plain silver frame. There are three holes along the lower edge of the frame, to attach it to a comb.
