Place of origin |
Hair pin of sheet silver, partly gilded, with lozenge-shaped head. The edge of the head is bordered with small stamped domes. A lozenge of filigree curls is riveted to the head, with a small tube in the centre to hold it clear of the surface. There is a star of gilt metal in the centre of the filigree lozenge, with a pebbled dome at its centre surrounded by a ring of dark blue and white enamel domes. The stem of the pin has nicks down the sides, making a wavy pattern.
