Brief description
Silver hair pin with openwork head enclosing a ball of red silk, Salerno (Italy), 1800-1867.
Physical description
Silver hair pin, with a twisted stem of square wire and a spherical head made from two curved rosettes of thick plain wire joined together at their edges. The head contains a ball of red silk which is held in place by a vertical pin, and which fills the interior space.
