Brief description
Brooch made from gilded glass in a spiky pattern set with mirror-glass pastes, Barcelona (Spain), 1600-1699.
Physical description
Circular brooch made from a ring of three concentric strips of wire encrusted with a spiky glass frame. The surface of the glass frame is gilded and set with mirror glass pastes. More wire, glass and pastes originally formed a motif in the centre of the frame, but this is so damaged that it is impossible to identify.
