Brief description
Stamped silver frame for a religious picture, Toledo (Spain), 1865-1870.
Physical description
Frame made from sheet silver, stamped with scrolls and religious symbols. At the bottom is a flaming heart, and at the top a bird flying down. There is a hole at the top through which a silver ring is threaded. The central space is empty, although the tabs at the back, for holding the missing glass and picture, remain.
