Vertical oval pendant, consisting of a frame of curved filigree scrolls and flowers surrounding an oval glass case containing religious symbols. At the top is a stylised crown. At the back, a strip of twisted wires extends vertically from the top of the medallion, and ends in a suspension ring. There is a loose ring of similar design hanging from the suspension ring. On one side, the central case contains a cast openwork scene of the crucifixion with saints Mary and John, on a ground of red cloth, in a frame of twisted wire, mounted upside down on a sheet of silver stamped with a chequered pattern. On the other side, it contains a piece of brocaded cloth or paper in a plain frame mounted on a similar piece of material.
