  • Dutch tax mark in the shape of an axe (punched on rim of box near lion's tail; tax mark for silver with older marks that came back into circulation between 1853 and 1927)
  • Maker's mark IA in petal (on rim of box; recorded in Rosenberg 3 as mark of a maker in Schwäbisch Gmünd, possibly Jos. Ade (active 1748-1783))
  • poss. Schwäbisch Gmünd town mark, mid 18th century, nearly illegible (on rim of box, near right paw of lion; possibly Rosenberg 3, vol. 2, p. 110, BZ 2180.)
