Balustrade

Balustrade panel composed of five balusters joined by a horizontal bar at the top and bottom. Each baluster is composed of foliated scrolls collared to a vertical stem broken in the centre by an arched frame enclosing a small spiral ornament with two leaves. To the top bar is attached a moulded baluster rail.

Physical description
Balustrade panel composed of five balusters joined by a horizontal bar at the top and bottom. Each baluster is composed of foliated scrolls collared to a vertical stem broken in the centre by an arched frame enclosing a small spiral ornament with two leaves. To the top bar is attached a moulded baluster rail.

STAIRCASE BALUSTRADE PANEL Wrought iron England; c.1728 Said to come from Ossington Hall, near Newark, Nottinghamshire, probably from the central part of the house dating from 1728.
