Place of origin

Cupboard, oak, with wrought iron hinges and scrollwork. The front of four panels, each decorated with foliated hinge work enriched with stamped ends and square bosses; the two middle panels are hinged as doors, and fitted with twisted ring-handles with cut and embosses escutcheons and plain keyhole plates. At each end is a narrow door with two hinges and ring handle. The framing is moulded with hollow chamfers. The ironwork on the front has evidently been taken off and re-fixed with new nails after scraping and polishing the panels; the cupboard appears to have been reduced in length. The back and the shelves are of relatively recent date, and also the middle foot.
