GRILLES (Copies) Wrought iron England; 19th century The original grilles are from the door to St Anselm's Chapel in Canterbury Cathedral. The chapel contains Archbishop Meopham's monument (erected in 1334) but the back-to-back C scrolls of the grilles suggest that 13th-century ironwork had been re-used, or possibly that the smith was old-fashioned.
