Wrought iron chest padlock, an unusually large and elaborate version of a standard Spanish type. Pierced and engraved with monsters or animals, foliage and a lion with open jaws. The two loops are bolted to the chest. The padlock is passed through the two loops and secured by a third loop forming the lock which is released by operating the key.
