Ring

1865-1870 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Finger rings are one of the most popular kinds of jewellery. They have been used in almost all places throughout history, and, unlike most other pieces, were commonly worn as much by men as by women.

This ring was probably made in Spain around 1870, when it was bought in Murcia as an example of traditional jewellery. The hearts suggest that it may have been a betrothal gift.
