Filigree was one of the most distinctive products of Spanish silversmiths in the19th century. It was used particularly for traditional jewellery, such as earrings, crosses, and buttons. This ring appears to have been made from a typical Spanish silver filigree button. It was acquired for the Museum in Murcia in 1870.
