Fragments of two similar objects, excavated in Lübeck

Labels and date

Decorated with a man with a sword and a woman holding a heart. The inscriptions translate as 'Good courage against yours', and 'I am yours' This object has been dated to the middle of the 16th century by the costumes the two figures are wearing.

Production Note

Considered by Buckley to have been produced in the same glasshouse as a goblet in the BM, reg.no.S824
