This necklace was described as having been bought in Paris as Egyptian in 1923, shortly after the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb.

The pendent beads are identical to those on another necklace in the collection (CIRC.33-1951), which is said to have been bought in Jerusalem, and to have been worn by Mohammedan women.

Necklace of silver-gilt beads shaped like short points, Middle East, 1900-1920.
Physical description
Necklace of hollow silver-gilt beads strung on a yellow cord. There are 64 beads shaped like points, each with a decorative top with a loop on its back through which the cord runs. These are each separated from its neighbour by a plain cylindrical bead.
Summary
This necklace was described as having been bought in Paris as Egyptian in 1923, shortly after the discovery of Tutankhamen’s tomb.
