The crown is spikey in shape, having six spiralling tendrils that soar at regular intervals from its upper edge, with fourteen smaller twists interspersed between them. It is uneven in colour and rough in finish, and curved motifs have been engraved on the surface. Crimson ovals of patinated copper decorate the central points of the front and back.
