ca. 1880 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Corkscrews are comparatively rare in Italy, as wine is usually served in carafes. The characteristic use of heavy brass castings may have been as a result of the armaments industry producing a surplus of brass at the end of the 19th century.
