BRACKET for an inn sign Wrought iron England; 18th century From the Fox Inn, Huntingdon. The shape and decoration of signs were often inspired by the inn's name, as here. Decorative brackets were also made to support trade signs, such as the locksmith's signs further down the Gallery. More trade signs can be seen on the walls of the Museum shop and restaurant.
