Object history | Bought for £25 from Mrs Beatrice Posbury, 3 Ravenscourt Square, London W.6 (See Registered File 19/4569). The file contains no earlier history of the chair. When this chair was acquired, the seat was covered in green cloth with brass nailing. In 1980 the seat was give a new top cover of black horsehair by Carole Thomerson, the conservation upholsterer, with close nailing. Since 1982 the chair has been on loan to Baysgarth House Museum, Barton-on-Humber (Registered File 82/2330. |
