Physical description

Mirror in frame veneered with mahogany with carved and gilt enrichments in pine wood. At the top is a basket of flowers resting on a plinth in a broken pediment enriched with foliage and scrolled acanthus whorls. The frame which is of scrolled outline at the base is surrounded by a gilt moulding and flanked by pendants of flowers, leaves and fruit. The inner border framing a sheet of modern looking-glass is of elaborately scrolled outline and the glass is bevelled at the edges to correspond. Below the pediment is a design composed on two conventional floral sprats sunk in the surface and gilt.
