Rectangular shaped box, the sides of which are decorated with horizontal panels of khatam-kari veneer comprising a pattern of alternating star and circular motifs, set within fine bone borders. The lid is made of hammered and incised brass, the edges of which are decorated with animals and huntsmen, with the top lid decorated with bands of Arabic inscriptions and cartouches pierced with turquoise insets. The inside of the box has twelve circular compartments (six on either side) used to store small bottles or vessels.
