Oval reliquary, enclosed in a gilded, moulded metal frame and glazed. The central panel is covered in ribbed, blue paper and the outer rim and sides are covered in ribbed, white and textured papers. In the centre is a mounted cushion of red velvet with gilded ornamentation. Two fragments of wood, labelled 'Vraie Croix' are mounted in a cross and surrounded by a wreath of foliage and fruits made from rolled orange paper strips with gilded edges. Ten more relics are mounted around the edge, starting from the top and reading clockwise in French, they are inscribed respectively:

This is surrounded by a similar but larger rolled paper wreath. The back is covered with yellow paper on which is inscribed in ink 'Diverses reliques apportés de Rome par ma souer Thérèse Laure, le 18 juin 1842, avec leurs authentiques et attestations'.
