Place of origin

Tea caddy, of harewood and satinwood with marquetry of holly and other woods. The box is octagonal in shape. In the centre of the top is an oval panel of beefwood with a cable border. The ground around this is of harewood inlaid with a floral design of holly, partly stained. This is edged by a cross-border of zebra wood with a cable border on each side and beyond this is a border of tulip wood. The front panel resembles the top, but has a single cable border, and a band of holly and satinwood. The two sides and the back panel are similar to the front but have no floral marquetry. The chamfered corners of the box have four glyphs inlaid with green stained holly. The inner lid is of mahogany veneered with harewood and cross-banding of zebra wood.
