Sycamore box decorated with a mosaic of scrolled strips of coloured paper. The hinged lid is decorated on the top with a small oval device in the centre within two pairs of curved leafy stems, on a ground of small circles. The sides of the lid have wavy leaf stems and the sides of the box have large circular devices on a ground similar to the top. The hinges are of brass and there is a lock. The inside is lined with red leather and is divided into one long and three small compartments, one of which has a sloping bottom.
