The cat is lithographed tinplate and the mechanism is housed in the body with the key bar protruding from the left side. It is brown and yellow with a red ribbon around its neck and a green, blue, yellow pink, red and white spotted ball between its front paws. The underside is grey and the tail a piece of thin metal. As it moves along the tail moves from side to side; this may not be part of the mechanism action.
