Bamboo cane etched with registers, each consisting of a different scene including buildings, houses, and trees. Each register is accompanied by an Arabic inscription included: “Jami’ al-Qal’a” (Mosque of Mohammad Ali at the Citadel of Salahdin, Cairo); “Ra’s al-Tin” (Palace of Mohammad Ali in Alexandria); “Masalat Fir’un” (Obelisk of the Pharaoh); and the signiature of “Hasan Fahmi”. Egypt, dated 1281H./1864.
