Letter box in wood & velvet, embroidered in silver and coloured wools with the Royal Arms as borne by the House of Hanover from 1714-1801. The lid is hinged with an opening for the letters. The top is covered in green velvet, and the whole bears a label of three points for the Prince of Wales.
