Panel of glazed brown cotton to which are sewn fifteen samples of knitting. The samples are numbered and the numbers correspond to the numbers of the patterns in the book by Mrs Gaugain. The samples do not always look exactly like the engraved illustrations, but Miss Hume appears to have adapted some of them and occasionally amends the printed instructions.
