1734-1740 (made)
Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Woven braid of silver-gilt thread and coloured silks. The braid depicts a repeating scene of a fountain edged with trees on a balustrade, and to its right are two houses on a slope, in various shades of pinks and green on a silver-gilt ground. Backed by yellow tabby silk, and retains some gathering stitches, probably from use as a dress trimming.
