Object history
"The metallic is by Fairtex, for whom I am a stylist, and while it is laminated on both sides with Mylar, it is still quite fragile.. This fabric was woven for the famous American interior designer, Dorothy Draper, for a night club stage in Rio de Janeiro called the Moulin Rouge, so we called the panel "Moulin Rouge." The application called for such a vivid and distinctive theatrical -looking fabric."
