Fan of painted paper with plain ivory sticks and guard. The pin is brass with a mother of pearl washer. On the face is a 'Toilet of Venus' scene, with Venus examining her reflection in a mirror and attended by handmaids. A patterned black border surrounds it. The reverse is completely covered with a fairly naturalistic flower design covering the entire field.
