Fan, with sticks and guards of ivory, and mount of kidskin painted in watercolour on the front with three views of ancient buildings in Rome (the Arch of Titus, the Temple of Concord, and the small circular temple formerly known as that of Vesta) among figures and scrolls in the Pompeian style.

The guards and the twenty sticks are quite plain; the silver rivet is provided with two mother-of-pearl studs; the central view is oval, the others rectangular.
