Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Fashion in the 1920s was dominated by the garçonne look. Simple, straight and waistless, the style was liberating. Hair was cropped short and a close fitting cloche hats became popular. Rich and sensual details such as fringed shawls, dresses embroidered in the Chinese style and evening coats trimmed with fur became very popular. This sensual and modern electric blue coat represents well the taste for luscious freedom of the era; the soft velvet has a simple straight cut embellished by a luxurious fur collar matching the grey of the lining of the coat
