WOMAN’S STRIPED SUIT
Alberto Fabiani, 1967
Double-faced wool satin with wool stripes
Vittorio Azario and his wife Brenda gave their
Turin textile firm Nattier a French-sounding name
to lend it prestige within the couture market. Vittorio Azario’s double and triple wool gabardines were immensely popular in the 1960s, and Nattier textiles featured in couture houses worldwide. Roman couturier Alberto Fabiani designed this blue and red suit using a Nattier wool.
