Pattern book. On the spine are listed both the title and the date. Within the volume are various sections named by protruding tabs, containing varying numbers of samples stuck down with strips stamped with a key pattern. The sections within this volume are listed with the following titles; taffetas dentelle impressions/chaine (with a prominent sample of silk with a floral chiné titled 'Lister pekin imprimé), Louisine impressions/chaine, Damas impressions/ chaine, Damas dentelle impressions/chaine and Toile soie gaze impressions/chaine. These samples are a mix of patterened taffetas, silks and chinés.
