Silk and silver gilt embroidery on linen in cross, stem, braid, and double darning stitches. The cap is hood-shaped, with the main panel divided by an insertion of gilt braid. The L-shaped black borders with rosettes and leaves in black, gold, and silver, are around a sprig with four blue flowers and a large red fruit (?). The front is trimmed with a wider scalloped band of metal briad on red cloth, and has silk tassels at the sides. The back is caught together with crochet work in red silk.
