Cotton blouse embroidered in cotton thread. From the shoulders a wavy line runs down each side of the front with leaves sprouting from it. This band is edged with a minute diaper pattern. Down the top of the arm runs a row of confronted birds in pairs, and on either side double rowns of floral sprays. (two types). Round the wrist is a small wavy leaf and flower pattern.

Physical description

A note in the register says: 'the set of Romanian blouses T61 to T70-1926 (or upper parts of costumes like T143-1924 and T93-1926) were said to have been obtained in northern Moldova and Bukovina'.

Another note in the register says: '16 similar garments were puyrchased by Circulation and numbered Circ. 752 to 767-1926.)'
