Shawl of white cotton with a chequered effect embroidered in silk in red, green, yellow, blue, cream and mauve in double running stitches arranged in squares, stars and zig zags, and some stem stitches. The surface is covered with rows of polychrome and cruciform spots with wide borders at the ends and narrow borders along the sides composed of densely packed polychrome floral forms.
