Long and narrow scarf of lilac twilled silk with decoration at the ends and along the sides in orange, green, purple, white and yellow silk. At each end is a deep panel containing three rows of stiff roses, each with two buds. They are coloured in orange, purple and white. Their tops are flattened in the wearing. Above and below the panel is a meander of yellow flowers and buds on a purple stem, between stripes of orange and white silk. The whole of the design is made with additional pattern wefts which pass across the width of the material to the side borders. The side borders, 0.875 inches wide, are formed of uninterrupted warp stripes of green, yellow, orange and purple bound in twill with a lilac edge.
