A fragment of tabby woven undyed linen. Egyptian, Mamluk, ca. AD1250- 1500. The linen is z- spun; 16x18 tpc (sys 1 x sys 2); differing thread dia. The piece is decorated with rows of embroidered peacock motifs (approx. 60mm x 32mm) in brown wool. The piece has holes and is discoloured.
