Silk, woven on a harness-loom. In the middle there is a plain white rectangular panel. The rest is filled with closely-packed ornaments based on the "cone" devices of Kashmiri shawls. Colours are white, crimson, yellow, light crimson, green, black, and blue. At each end is a fringe formed from the warp threads.
