Women's embroidered cap of white cotton partially lined with printed wool of red roses and green leaves on a black ground. Edged with a narrow border of lace. Traces remain of a complete white cotton lining which would have covered the woollen one. A small square panel forms the back of the cap and the rest of the fabric is gathered in it. Decorated with bands of embroidery, the dominant one is of orange pulled thread work which is bordered by bands of blue zig-zags, bands of red, blue and yellow pulled thread work and bands of black cross stitch.
