ALTAR FRONTAL, consisting of alternate squares of "lacis" or darned netting and grey linen worked with feather stitch, both figured with heraldic animals, flowers, and stars. German. Late 16th centy. L. 9. ft. 5½ in., W. 4 ft. 2½ in. Bought (Bock Colln).
