*Many party games are based on humour or well known people such as one in the Durka collection based on film stars of the 1930s and 1940s. Others are historical or geographical such as another in Durka which is the Counties of England. The earliest of these types of games is found in the late 18th century set such as Wallis's Pack of Puzzles, rebus illustrations of 1798 and Darton's Puzzles v Puzzles, questions and
answers of c. 1825. The games were supplanted by other forms of games toward the end of the 1800s, for examples Pictorial Lottos, but re-introduced between the wars, 1920 and 1940.
