Coat of black silk velvet trimmed with applications of black braid intermixed with black glass beads which are attached at the shoulders, cuffs and on the curved bolero-like flaps over the bust. Princess line and hip length, and made in eight panels which are curved to shape it to the figure. It fastens with three sets of buttons, each covered with black satin and embroidered with cord and black glass beads, linked with black silk cords. High neckline and round, and trimmed with a narrow machine made white lace frill. The coat is interlined and lined with white silk, quilted in hand running stitch in a diaper pattern in a graduated pattern with the diamonds smaller at the front than at the back.
