Registered File number 1991/2257.
The fabric of this dress is identical in design, but a different colourway to that in the 1956 Balmain evening dress T.252-1981. However, the cut of the dress is closer to 1960 than 1956, so the fabric may have been re-issued a few years after its original weaving when it was used by Balmain.
