Artist/Maker
Place of origin

Scarf of Drochel bobbin net lace. Long and patterned with slender festoons of flowers and leaves tied with ribbons. Small sprigs of flowers, stars and roundels are scattered over the ground. A narrow border of leafy stems and medallions decorates the edges. The parts of the pattern are worked in needlelace, except for the filling stitches, which are bobbin-made copies of needle meshes. The garlands run in two parallel rows, both the same way up, along the length of the scarf.
