Boy’s waistcoat of fine bleached linen, embroidered with coloured silks in a design of repeating motifs of fruit and flowers. It was made over from another garment or furnishing and the border of yellow silk embroidery in a piqué design added after construction. It is backed and lined with fine linen. It has a round neckline, no pockets and skirts reaching to the top of the knee. There are 7 worked buttonholes on the left front and 7 worked eyelets on the right for removable shank buttons.

Physical description
Boy’s waistcoat of fine bleached linen, embroidered with coloured silks in a design of repeating motifs of fruit and flowers.
