Lace edged collar. Muslin collar with extended points at the centre front. Outer edge decorated with a line of open work and with a delicate pattern of small heart-shaped cartouches linked by leafy tendrils. Re-trimmed with needle lace borders of two different types. The narrow edging round the neck and down the front is of French point d'Alençon and repaired in places with fragments of Brussels bobbin-made drochel. The wide outer edging is of French needle lace, point, d'Alençon.
